It sounds like you don't really want to fix your marriage, you just want revenge. Which is fine, it sounds like your husband probably isn't interested in fixing things either.

Since you can't leave, spend the next 1-2 years working your @$$ off to get yourself in a position where you can. Don't cheat because you want revenge, take the high road for now. You'll have plenty of time to sleep with other men once you leave. The best revenge is living well (and I'd add to that being unemotional- people hate when they can't control your emotions anymore).

Don't stress over your ILs getting custody. It's very, very rare for that to happen, and there would have to be a documented history of extreme abuse, drug use, abandonment, etc. Courts almost always just split custody 50/50 between parents because it's in the best interest of the child to remain with their parents, not grandparents.

OP, your plan to seduce a rockstar with your VIP concert pass, as revenge against your broke husband who cheated with a stripper goes way way way beyond being “socially awkward” and having esteem problems.
