So you hate the gov’t for enforcing immigration laws as long as they don’t show up in your town looking for help.

Hello - the gang violence has followed them here.
Legal immigration that is well thought out is fine. Disorganized illegal immigration is not.
Exactly. And now it's the US's problem. Not just El Salvador's.
Yeah but let all the dreamers in

Another reason to move out of that shole

DC has allocated $900,000 grant money for legal defense of illegal immigrants. https://mayor.dc.gov/release/mayor-bowser-announces-900000-available-fy-2019-immigrant-justice-legal-services-grant
That's $900,000 that could go elsewhere-DCPS, grants for financial aid for US citizens-DC residents. Cost of the junket?
If you read the release it will fund legal services for all immigrants. Many legal immigrants need legal services. Some legal immigrants even need help on immigration issues. All immigrants should, IMO, have access to legal services. How can one get justice in courts or in admin proceedings without a lawyer?
And of course the issue of legal services has nothing to do with the Mayor's travels.
How about school services for American children? D.C. With all its wealth is running neck and neck with Mississippi and Louisiana in school performance. This is shameful. There are enough private organizations to give money to immigrants for legal services.

Anonymous wrote:I'm not pro encouraging illegal immigration - fine with a variety of legal concerns. These people are pretty economic immigrants primarily who come to this area for the welcoming sanctuary laws and because there are families and an established community here. What is happening in this is situation is what liberal supporters of illegal immigration don't want to acknowledge - that we have our own residents in need and limited resources. Carry on.
