This. If your DD is not upset by the show, let her watch it. My DD watched this when she was younger than OP's DD. I watched it with her so I could answer questions. The show made her want to be a police detective (or maybe a DA) to help victims. People who are saying kids can't watch this until they're 16 are crazy...seriously. How the hell are your kids going to handle life on their own at college? I'm flabbergasted. We're talking about a show on regular TV.... OMG

I agree!

Yes. My kids would stop watching something it bothered them, and I don't mind them watching anything as long as it's not causing them entirely avoidable distress.

Wow I can't believe how many of you would not let your children watch it. I watch it myself and my 9 year old son asks questions about it. I use that as a teaching opportunity. I honestly think that DCUM users have a very distorted view of the world their children are growing up in.

No. The topics are too disturbing.

There are a few that I felt uncomfortable watching, myself.

The most intense ones I can recall (I've seen each episode a minimum of three times, for I've been a mega-fan since episode 1) have been:

Wrath (Season 3)
Raw (Season 7)
Undercover (Season 9)
Hammered (Season 11)
Behave (Season 12)
Hunting Ground (Season 13)
Her Negotiation (Season 14)
Surrender Benson (Season 15)
Beast's Obsession (Season 15)
Psycho/Therapist (Season 15)
Devil's Dissections ( Season 17)
Criminal Pathology (Season 17)
Townhouse Incident (Season 17)
American Dream (Season 18)
Something Happened (Season 19)
