Np Yes, they do! If she eats a diet high enough in fat (meats, dairy, nuts etc. ), she will have more than enough energy.

Hi OP, I eat a similar diet (but do regularly eat potatoes etc so not really low carb) and for my next pregnancy I will be ocassionally eating gluten, dairy,etc for the same reasons pps mentioned peanut butter. I think it’s better to give some exposure to these things.

NP here. I tend to find people this rude and defensive usually know deep down they have a weak position, so you resort to insults.
They use rats/ mice in studies because they have been shown to be remarkably similar to humans. Further, it is unethical to perform studies on pregnant women, so. All you get is anecdotal, uncontrolled findings. Hence, rats.
Maybe learn something about the scientific method before spouting off yourself, yeah? And try not to be such a raging asshat. Please.
