Yes they represent their HS teams at metros. Most good swimmers practice with HS teams 1x per week and that practice is extra on top of club training.

Metros is fun and chaotic and no one swims their best times there. The kids are all building toward March championship meets.

OP, are you asking about local club, USA swimming (zones, JR nats, Phillip 66/SR nats), or something else? Unless the swimmer is in college, or a prep school, you do not normally represent a school while competing in a USA swimming meet.
