The athletic ability and skill sets needed to play Lacrosse at the elite level whether in club, high school, college or professionally is absolutely insane.
The FACT is that many young and adult men who play Lacrosse CHOOSE to play the sport above all others because they absolutely love it, NOT because they can't dribble a ball on a court or kick a ball down a field you twit.

To the OP. Yes, your son should absolutely go for it if he has an interest in playing. Every sport has a roster spot/team for every player at every level.
