I’m really sorry. Our beloved cat also died of an inoperable intestinal obstruction. It’s so very sad when you lose your cat companion. It sounds like he had a wonderful life with you. I’m sure he felt loved until the end, which is a great gift.

OP, I’m sorry. We spent thousands of dollar trying to keep my sweetheart kitty alive when he suddenly couldn’t hide his stomach cancer anymore.

Putting him down was one of the hardest things I ever did but he deserved to be out of pain. It’s been five years. I still miss him every day.

I found my 2 kitties who were from the same litter 20 years ago newborn in a garbage can (someone intentionally thew them away in a tied off plastic bag, the momma didn't give birth there).

I just had to put them to sleep a month apart 2 months ago... I so feel your pain & wish I had some words of wisdom for you.

I've just started thinking about getting a new kittten & so i'm fostering a litter from a rescue group, maybe you would consider doing the same when the time is right for you?

OP, I felt the same way when we put our 24yo kitty to bed for the last time. We buried her ashes in a park and my sister wrote the most beautiful eulogy.

I posted here last week that my cat was coming to the end. We put him down Friday. It’s really hard. I’m so sorry for everyone’s pain.

I am so sorry your kitty is gone. I know how hard it is to outlive your pets and I've been there several times. I promise you will feel better about it in time. Give yourself a few weeks or months and then give another great cat a new home. It will never be a replacement but there are so many that need your love.
