Termites cost me $2,000 because they hadn't gotten too far. They're costing my neighbor in excess of $15,000 for the damage they did.

Do not ignore them. Call a pest control company today.

Carpenter ants are the giant black juicy ants. They may or may not have wings, depending on where they are in their life-cycle.

The way to tell the difference between flying ants and termites is to look at the wings:

The wings of flying ants are two lengths (front wings are shorter than the back wings). The wings of termites are the same length.
