Peer reviewed, prminant medical journal. So tell us Trumpkins, why do opioid addicts tend to support Trump? One thing is for certain, these are not our best people doing the clearest thinking.

???

I don't see why this is surprising.

While Obama was spending 6 cool trillions on who knows what, the opioid crises exploded, and he and his White House couldn't care less.

Just look at the statistics anyway you want, from use to overdoses. They are scary, and clearly skyrocket under Obama.

So, people and communities who have witnessed that, they chose to vote for change in 2016.

Why would you be surprised?

LMAO, Really? Peer reviewed?

How about these guys do a correlation between areas of highest rates of gang violence and party affiliation? Gee I wonder how well that turns out. Do we argue that gangs tend to support Democrats? Are gang members our best people and doing the clearest thinking?

Trumpkins are seriously dumb.

+1

LOL. How many gang members are VOTING?

Let's look at it this way. How many people making excuses for gang members vote?

As a society, we love using disenfranchised groups as pawns to push an agenda.

Dumb or not, at least we understand the concept that correlation does not equal causation.

No. Apparently you do not. I am the Op who had to point out to a Trumpkin that correlations =/= causation, which is why the thread title says there is a correlation, and not causation.

+1 And yes, Trumpkin. The Journal of the American Medical Association is a highly respected medical journal publishing peer reviewed studies (see also, the gold standard of not Fake News). This piece is an “original investigation,” the standards for which are here:

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/pages/instructions-for-authors#SecOriginalInvestigation

Get back to us when Fox News publishes a peer reviewed anything by anyone except Breitbart.

All of which is to say, wow, the opiates have eaten what few brain cells you once had.

The opioid epidemic came to prominence under President Obama.

Is PP a trumpster?
1. Whataboutism - check
2. At least mildly off topic - check

So the opioid crisis sprang to life under Trump?

All current problems started and/or worsened under either Bush or Trump.

He has KellyAnn Conway right on it. She and her staff have zero experience, but she has decided to not engage the agency that does have experience.

He also wants to remove mandatory substance abuse coverage from health insurance. This is the reason why the Trump Troubador is no longer a Trump fan.

The opioid crisis is occurring in rural areas with few good jobs where people feel the system is not working for them. This leads to frustration, anger and depression. The sort of conditions that lead to drug abuse and also willingness to vote for an angry outsider who will stir things up. They.got their wish. He stirred things up, but perhaps not with the benefits they hoped for.

They don't even take care of their kids basic safety, every time there a published photo of an opioid user it's a person with an oily hair - they don't even take care of themselves....and they vote?

May be they support Trump when they come out of their drug coma, but I doubt that they vote.

There are a lot of more or less functional addicts. Not everyone is passing out with a needle in their arm.
