Even when I take a day off work he's always there popping into the kitchen for some coffee of looking over my shoulder to see what I'm watching on TV. It also means he has his own office in our house but I have no space that is exclusively mine. I don't think he appreciates that when I try to get some alone time before bed in our bedroom. Luckily he's on the phone a fair amount so he does talk to other people but sometime when I get home from work he goes off on these long tangent about some crazy thing going on in the sports world and I totally glaze over and wish he had some coworkers to talk to during the day. I just take a deep breath and think how convenient it is that he can easily do drop-off and pick-up for our kids from school, handle all workmen/cable guys etc. that occasionally come by and that I never have to worry about my Amazon and Zappos boxes being stolen from our porch because he's there to bring them inside.
Yes to the bolded!! This bothers me because DH is always complaining that I have stuff in the kitchen. The only place that’s exclusively mine in our house is one dresser. DH has a whole bedroom as his office, kids have a playroom for their toys and DH has taken over the basement as a place for his hobby. There is nowhere that’s just mine and it bothers me more than I thought it would.
