Honestly? No. My 7th grader just finished up Algebra 1 with an A. He loves engineering and even at age 13 knows he has to crush it in Math and Science to get into even tech.
It sucks that college in Virginia is so competitive. I have a neighbor that is off to Stanford in the fall. She got into Stanford, but waitlisted at UVA. Insane!
such drama, you can go to CC for 1 year and go to UVA or Tech ... but kids have a huge ego and can't do that.
the 3.4 is not a big deal if you goal is to graduate from UVA or Tech, you are just making it a big deal
