MCPS is very, very lax with regards to residency requirements. We have dozens of kids at our elementary school who use false addresses. Most parents are pretty upfront about it and the teachers even know (because kids are pretty honest). Nobody really ‘reports’ anything.
Not much you can do. My co-worker lives in Frederick and her kid attends MCPS using a false address.

I teach in MCPS. People have complex custody arrangements. I’ve had students who lived 2 or 4 weeks in DC or VA, then 2 or 4 weeks in Bethesda. No one at our W feeder school cared.
