Maybe the OP can figure out which women in the area are fans of "The Rules" and are big fans of Focus on the Family.

The people on here are completely dysfunctional savages. They are the crazy boyfriend/ girlfriend.

I think we have a consensus. We love our spouses, love to complain, and the rest of the shitty people (men AND woman) are terrible to date.

My girlfriends and I grouse a bit about our husbands but we absolutely adore our husbands and all the good things about them and praise them to one another as well.

Anyone complaining that much about men is bitter, toxic, and you need to just avoid. Our entire friends group ending up having a fallout with one girl who never stopped bashing on another guy in our group she had dated, making it out as though everything she was miserable about was because of things he'd done or said. When we called him out on it, he was confused and she blew up at us telling us how wonderful he was, how hateful we were, etc. We realized what had happened, apologized to the guy friend who was happy to take us back, and she cut us all off and we haven't heard from her since.

DateLab is actually a perfect microcosm for how terrible dating in DC is for men and, to a certain extent, women. The DateLab women never go on another date with the guy if he expresses interest. They just think they are better than the guy.

As a fellow midwesterner, though male, who has been here for almost 10 years, this is how it goes---Women in DC are very lazy in dating. They don't want to meet people, so they'll just whine and complain on DCUM about where did all the good guys go? They ask you out, you just say no or blow them off.

Women in DC want money, pedigree and education. If they went to an Ivy League school, you better have gone to a Ivy as well. If you're renting, you're a schlup.

The true irony is that DC is full of single late 20 and 30 something, but as they age and lose attractiveness, they become more picky and entitled! Online dating emboldens them, but they can't be bothered to actually meet guys for dates. They blow them off and just swipe swipe swipe away.

There's a lot to like about DC but the women here suck and not in a good way.

Most people come to this site to complain or to read about someone else's drama. People with completely uneventful marriages don't feel the need to write or share it anywhere. So you're seeing a pretty skewed sample here.

Pretty much everyone I know is at least reasonably content in their relationships. No women in my vicinity IRL constantly bash their husbands or men in general.

People in DC do kinda suck.

I lived in the Bay Area for a bunch years and they don't ask what you do. They ask what kind of car you have and how has your home appreciated over the last few years.

Dating in DC is all about who you know and how much money you make (or will make once your internship is over.) Reading DateLab always gives me a chuckle.
