This isn’t true, my Bosch has a ~30min quick cycle that is all I use, dishes always clean.

How long is the "normal" cycle, though?
Who cares? I have a DW with a 30min speed cycle and only clean using that. Why wait?
I believe the longer cycles use less water. We run a load after dinner.
