Newflash -- MIL would treat the gay grandchild with all the love in the world. Full stop. Probably better than the liberal uncle who secretly despises "homos."

My MIL is like this. I just don’t engage. I take comfort in knowing that if I did break and she was successful in baiting me into an argument; I would use FACTual information not hypocritical, paranoid, fear monger, bible thumping BS to win said argument.
Whoever wrote this post, please tell me you live in the Northern Va area and we can be friends in real life?!There is such a lack of people with FACTUAL info out there. And please don't ever get me started on the hypocritical religious folks.

I know a lot of people who support abortion rights. Not many of those are championing the act of aborting. I don’t think you,or any one else for that matter, has the right to dictate without spending time walking in their shoes and living in their mind.
When you and other anti abortion people adopt and CARE for everyone of “Gods Children” orphaned and living in complete and unparalleled misery, I don’t think you have a leg to stand on in this argument.
And unless you yourself were aborted (how do you think that actually feels?), then your legs are even less sturdy than mine.

This is my concern. With me, he has no problem at all repudiating his mother's beliefs but when he is with family not so much. He won't verbally agree with them when they're together, per se, but he sure as hell isn't saying he disagrees.

I wouldn't give a crap because there wouldn't be a me to have feelings. I guess if I were going to ruin someone's life, be raised in misery, or had some sever genetic abnormality, *I* would feel spared.
