Anonymous wrote:$150k HHI. We both max 401k so that is $3k a month pretax. Post-tax we save another $1000-$2000 depending on how much fun money we use that month. We are DINKs with very healthy savings so not too much impetus to worry about exactly how much we save outside of 401ks.

PP here, I meant to say $1-$2k per month! So somewhere around $18k per year.

We save bonuses. Typically 100-300k a year.

What is your definition of retirement savings? 401k only? IRAs and taxable brokerage accounts?

I'm in Canada so it's different here.
DH and I each have a work pension we put money into. We also both have RRSP's which is usually a max of 18% of gross income up to a certain limit.
Pensions do lower the amount you can put in your RRSP as there is a pension adjustment to your limit because of pension.

Wow people in canada are inn dcum now?

There are MANY of us here.

Not possible. Canada’s population is what, like 7000 total?

I wish I lived in Canada. One year maternity leaves, now the option to take 18 months. Health care is amazing from what I hear.

$110 HHI (Single income)
26K to 403b/457/Roth IRAs (annual)
3K to 529 college savings (annual)
Average additional savings: around 1-1.5K/month

Taxable accounts are not included. I don't contribute to that currently.

200K HHI.

We put about $1,500 to retirement/401K, and save another $2000-$3000 in cash.
