PP here - I meant $2000/month

That is a servant, not a nanny. You barely pay her. 160 regular hours + 40 overtime hours = $9/hr for 3 kids.

Seriously, I hope she finds a better job. That’s like half he going rate

+1 talk about underpaying a nanny. I hope she leaves you.

$950k/year

about $6,000/month all-in, including taxes, health care, cellphone allowance, bonuses, etc.

She just finished working for us last month. Putting that $6k towards our mortgage each month now.

So 54k/year? My daycare for one kid is ~28k, so a nanny might be the best option if we have 2 kids. Does your nanny watch both kids?

That’s really high for daycare!!

Disagree. We pay $4600/month for two in daycare. We considered a nanny when the second was born but decided to stick with our center. Obviously the decision was about more than just the cost.

I'd budget $800-$1000/wk depending on your location and # kids. We have an income of $350,000 and had one for a few years and now use an au pair which is less expensive and more flexible for our current needs, mostly just driving.
