Again, I am shocked again by the fact that 129/145 was denied by AAP program.

However, I would like to let many parents know(at least according to my experience)the truth, for a solid student, you don't need to have extremely high NNAT/Cogat to get into AAP. Most of schools/teachers are reasonable, they understand that even for academic advanced kids, any score close to 132 are pretty normal.

Both NNAT and Cogat are great. Why GBRS is so low? Is the teacher/school very strict? Are schools so different?
In my kid's classroom, there are a few very naughty kids who were sent to principle office from time to time. They are academic advanced(reading/words advanced group and got in-pool score) and were accepted in the 1st round.

My kid got NNAT 135 and Cogat 126(all subs scores are even), GBRS unknown. She is a solid student(reading/words advanced group and does well in DRA/iready). Got in AAP as expected.

It's hard for me to believe the 140s(either NNAT or Cogat) kids were denied by AAP program.

the 16 GBRS were from her current teachers (we do immersion so we have two) at the FCPS school she attends and her teacher was the one that filled out the FCPS level 4 referral as well.

17.16 what are your nnat & cogat scores. As one of friends kid got in with nnat 145 and cogat 128

Was the 16 GBRS from an FCPS school or a private school?

I am surprised too. We had only a slightly higher CoGAT and lower NNAT (16 GBRS) and got in. Good luck, hope the WISC does it for you.

I think anything 132 and above is good

Any idea what is considered as good WISC V score and what subparts will they look at while making the decision. Do the GBRS come into picture will the new WISC V, SB and the scores from other tests.
