Do you work out at all? I wouldn't be able to do that. I ran 4.5 miles today. I ate yogurt, granola and blueberries for breakfast with coffee, soup and a sandwich for lunch and will have salmon and cauliflower for dinner.

I am 5'7" and 140lbs (still trying to lose the last 5lbs of baby weight)

^because there's no way you are getting the necessary, probably even the minimal, amounts of protein, minerals, nutrients, and fiber that you need daily. There's just no way

Weight is only small part of the picture when it comes to your overall Health and Longevity. The obsession with it to the exclusion of all else is mind boggling

If Op is eating reasonable and varied foods, why is this an eating disorder? Much of the world eats way less than us. If she is trying to get rid of even more calories or limiting whole areas of food, like, “oh, I just can’t ever eat cheese or never can I eat bread!” then I consider that more disordered than just happily eating one solid meal a day.

You probably lost fat and muscle, but mostly muscle.

Same, in high school. Diet coke for breakfast and lunch. Mom's dinner at home because I had no choice. I was around 105. 5'4".

I hear ya OP. I do Intermittent Fasting and although it doesn't really help me to lose weight, I really have learned that I'm not hungry for the vast majority of the day, and can definitely get away with one big meal and maybe a couple of snacks per day. The only problem I've found is that I'm also less inclined to drink water unless I'm eating, so I have trouble meeting my water goals. It's fine right now, but I know I need to shape up as I get older and stay hydrated.

I do plan on doing this generally. Like one PP said, my body and appetite has chnaged so I feel better this way and I hate the feeling of being stuffed.

People have been asking about working out--I have a little one and work full time and I am not on the 5am work out bandwagon, so doing HIIT or spin comes rarely these days, unlike before. But I bike commute to work a few times a week which is 12 miles roundtrip with a ton of hills. I keep eating the same way unless I do what mentioned above (set a timer, drink water) and that doesn't work. Then I know my body is asking for more and I will eat then.

Yep. My dad is a surgeon and he ate like this his whole life -- he did not want anything in his stomach for his early morning surgeries so he wouldn't feel full and distracted. Never ate before 4:00 pm and now at 82 he is still really healthy and a good weight. Congrats on finding what's right for you.

Sorry- that's a terrible way to be skinny. You are skinny but I bet very unhappy. You need to find a healthy balance.

Yes, eating in a disordered way that will mess up your metabolism will cause you to lose weight in the short term.

Also, eating less makes you lose weight.

SHOCKING!!

I do have hunger pains. I approach them this way--I set a timer for 30min. I drink a bottle of water or some tea. If at the end of 30min I am still starving or feel like crap, for me I have found it's normally something I need to address bc of another reason. Like I am on my period or haven't slept or something like that. And in that case, I eat. I am not about to be miserable. But honestly normally it passes after 15min or so. The hard part of my day, if I have one, is right now--10am-11am ish. Then after that I don't feel uncomfortable at all and I'm not even starving at dinner.

If you don't mind, I have questions:
Do you have hunger pains? Did it take awhile for your body to adjust? Do you have the energy to work out?
