Sad, we are at least once a week, often twice, and we are in our early 60's. I don't think this is much different than when we were in our mid-30's but life was far more hectic then with three young children.

Agreed. I did this with my first husband and luckily my lover told me to leave him. I did, we divorced 11 months after the marriage. It was all a big mistake. The lover and I stayed friends for awhile then it was over, I don’t think he knows that even to this day I thank him for encouraging me to change the road my life was on. Get out while you are still young.

I am not a cheater even though I could have been with my mentally sick x-husband for 10 years. No sex for 5 years, and I am high drive. Mentally, I shut my body down. Like a previous poster, I have integrity. I don’t care if that is not the norm.

What's even funnier, in a study men were asked "rate your satisfactions with marital sex most men get it once a week" and they are getting it twice a week they rate their sex life high. If the questions is "rate your satisfactions with marital sex most men get it once a day" and they are getting it twice a week they rate their sex life low.

Husband stopped having sex or even touching me. Counseling didn't work. His own therapy didn't work. He only wants me once I give up and start enjoying life with friends, hobbies, etc. So I'll tet with him and it'll happen for a month or two, he rejects me again, and the cycle repeats. After years of counseling I gave up. My therapist says he won't change so stay if I want but understand he'll keep doing this control ploy.

Our child likes his life and having two parents and we don't fight and my husband won't give me an open marriage (takes away his power to control by stringing me along) so I have a lover.
