What do you do for a boy?? Have DD1 and about to start trying for #2. DH would love a boy, but we're both convinced we'll probably have 2 girls.

This thread is so entertaining!

I have a cousin who keeps trying the different methods to get a daughter. She's 4 boys in and they are trying for their 5th now...

My boss had 3 boys and tried for one more to have a girl...she had twin boys

If this is in the dc area, I couldn’t even imagine...being THAT mom.

Omg. That...SUCKS

NP here also trying to conceive a girl. That Chinese chart predicted my first would be a girl and I got a boy. We only want 2 so this is my last shot at a girl. I have come to terms with being a mom of 2 boys, but I figure I will try a few tricks to potentially increase my odds at a girl. Doing the acidic diet thing [loosely] and doing sex earlier in my cycle. Fingers crossed.

That said, I completely realize I have little to no control of this outcome.

I have three boys, and it accurately predicted each one. Crazy stuff...I think it only works if the sperm is healthy. I know that for men who have low motility sperm, they are often likely to have girls over boys. But just a thought...might want to check this out!

Hm. This is interesting but is wrong for my first...I'm newly pregnant and according to this it should be a girl - hoping it gets it right the second time!

Yes Op, you are now outside the window to -likely- conceive a girl.

I feel so sorry for your existing boys and your next kid if he is also a boy. How selfish of you.

Fellow boy moms, let’s remember this when people say that women don’t prefer having girls.

Wait, do they summarize more? Is it in the info posts? I'm on that subreddit and have never stumbled across this!

Okay, I found it, thanks, PP for sharing that link! https://www.reddit.com/r/TTC30/comments/20lc9q/tldr_the_impatient_womans_guild_to_getting/

Also, "Between 67%-76% of women under 35 who were aware of their fertile time conceived in the first month." FML, I've been tracking and timing for five months and nada. This is NOT reassuring information.

i find that data very suspect.

The first time we did this, we tried for a girl and got it. The second time we were trying for a girl again, and did it up to the day before I ovulated and got a boy. I don’t think it worked, however my mother swears by it.

We did shettles method and it worked for us to get a girl- but who's to say that's what did it!? Anyways, I guess if you have time like we did it doesn't hurt to try.
