Anonymous wrote:That sounds annoying OP. Our daycare has cubbies for each kid so back up clothes are grabbed out of there and the dirty ones put back in for me to take home at the end of the day. Our center washes the crib sheet and blanket we provide for our baby every week. I have a toddler and baby, and we rarely lose anything. Occasionally we’ll get sent home with a random bib and maybe a baby spoon we sent in will go missing, but not on a regular basis. It sounds like your daycare needs a better system to keep track of things.

OP said it's missing clothes, hats, cups, etc.. that adds up.
All part of cheap childcare, IMO.
Ignore the troll.
First, are you labeling your stuff? Clothes, sippy cups etc? You are supposed to. Either way, I would mention it to them because yes, it IS their job to keep track of each child and their items.
Oh, stop! Everyone who disagrees with you is NOT a troll. $300 a week is very inexpensive and I would want my kid's clothing to be the least of a daycare workers concerns.
It's NOT hard to keep track of 8 kid's things. How do I know? I own a daycare and have never lost a single item. All the items are labeled and even when they are not, guess what- you still know what items belong to each child.
Congratulations. You are clearly superior to daycare workers.
I think it is part of center daycare.
I'm not but you seem to think that us lowly daycare workers can't keep track of items AND care for children. I don't know- maybe you can't. Maybe you also missed the other poster's saying that their centers keep track of items too.

GTFO of this thread TROLL. Geez, get a life lady. Back to the subject at hand, it is reasonable to ask the teachers if they can locate any of the missing items but I wouldn't sweat the small missing things since it's just common to lose items at daycare. Only bring stuff you can spare to lose to daycare... so don't wear the nicer clothing, etc.
