The Montgomery Cheetahs and the NOVA Cool Cats are both great, deserving special ice hockey teams. All proceeds go to the kids to play hockey, there’s no overhead in the organizations. Consider contributing to them?

OP again. I just told my nanny and she is in tears of joy. I feel great about this. Thank you to anyone who wrote.

If you don't want to donate it, drop it in the taxable account and add to the balance.

+1 Donate it in your deceased relative’s name. If you spend 30k on vacations per year you’ve really got more than most people in the world.

Oh, no. You misunderstood. That’s just what we’ve saved up for future vacations. That should last a few years at least

OP here. Thank you to whoever wrote this. I know exactly what I will do. Our former nanny and now sometimes babysitter has been struggling to pay off her car. I want to pay it off for her.

This is exactly the kind of creative idea I was looking for.

Just some ideas:

Landscaping, I would love to redo our small garden and make it easier to maintain

Add in a sports court to your property. We would love to do this for basketball and tennis

Upgrade your car. You could put the money aside and do this in 5 years when something new comes a long that you really want.

I don't know but this thread strikes me as the most ridiculous "problem" ever.
