This sounds like something new that I haven't heard reported before. I can't explain why some users only get these redirects on DCUM and not other websites. I personally almost never get them here even though I am on the site all day, but I do get them at other sites. There are a couple of sites major websites that I know that I will get redirects from and I sometimes trace those redirects to see if it will provide information that I can use here. I use very well-known and common advertising networks. Moreover, I stop working with any network that it is a source of repeated problems. I have permanently stopped ads from several networks. Last week I stopped ads from the network that had been my second largest source of revenue. This has caused an noticeable impact on overall revenue, but I'd rather earn less money than continue receiving malicious ads from them. It is frustrating that the problem continues even after stopping ads from that network. Even more because if I don't get the redirects myself -- and I haven't been -- there is very little that I can do about them.

I've had a few on my Samsung Galaxy 7 but haven't had time to track and post info for you.

Tonight, I got a very unusual one. I am on a Win10 desktop using Chrome. I was in Recent Topics, switched to another tab to check something, came back about 3-4 minutes later and the tab had shifted to http://sqozz.twood2qcfmwi.ruodz.today. I can't recall getting one on my desktop recently; all have been on my phone.

Ad Networks rely on exchanges where ad sellers offer to pay the networks to run their ads. There are so many buyers and sellers that malicious sellers can sneak ads that do redirects and so on into the exchange where it gets scooped up by a network that then provides it to us. To make things more complicated, networks often buy from each other. So the malicious ad may sneak through a back door of sorts. I have identified several networks as frequent sources of such ads and I ask our network partners not to run ads from those networks. But they can still get through by going from one network to another network to another network until it gets to us. I am working hard to put an end to this problem, but it is very difficult.

Just got this BS using Charter internet in Los Angeles. Is this a virus or malware or?

My impression is that Chrome users get the redirect more often. I use Safari and am on DCUM all day long and I haven't had a redirect in a week (and I removed that ad network).

If you get a redirect there, I'll remove the network I've configured on that version.

It has happened everyday at least three times a day - which obviously tells you I am spending way too much time here!

Thanks. I just turned off ads from Sovrn and reconfigured the sovrn link with another network. Please let me know if you get any redirects after this post from either the main site or the sovrn link.
