Because we will be spending time with the sick family member instead. And we can’t comfortably afford two weeks in Europe. We were supposed to be traveling with the dick family member who was going to be paying for accommodations and food while we were there.

They might work with you.

Anonymous wrote:I appreciate all of the advice about forcing ourselves to take the trip but Norwegian doesn’t fly from our home city. We had an elaborate summer plan that included visiting family and then flying from there to vacation. Not sure we’d be able to make it worthwhile to buy five tickets from our home to a city serviced by Norwegian to use the credit. Without three kids, sure we’d do it, but as a family of five it doesn’t seem realistic. Fingers crossed on the chase travel insurance.

Haha. Norwegian is the cheap airline to get to Norway.
Right. That's why I'm confused why the op can't figure out a way to use the credit. Norwegian must fly into NY, right? So drive up to NYC and use the credit.
This is OP. We actually live in Centeal America. We’d need to take and expensive flight to use our cheap tickets.
