Plus, I've never heard of "ez pass trucks". That doesnt even make sense.


I believe what the PPs are referring to are the emissions trucks that are there in different locations in Fairfax County that allow you to simply drive through and get an automated emissions reading on the spot. You then send in that report with $$ as part of the renewal of your registration.

If people weren't ok with paying more taxes, the Fairfax Board of Supervisors would be more republican. But it isn't. So people should expect to pay more because they support democrats.


I don't mind paying taxes for public works and services.
I don't mind contributing to the public works and services of the rest of the state - to a reasonable degree.
I do mind paying $20 to use I-66 - in one direction when I highly doubt that most of that money is actually going to be spent improving I-66.

That was meant to read break apart as in separate states, still within theUS. We need a Northern Virginia and Virginia split. Cut it off after Woodbridge...

We in NoVa would gain by that, as we would keep our money serving this area rather than sending it off to support the rest of the state. Our state taxes would drop. But then the rest of the state would be poor and lack services - making it another West Virginia. It's just income redistribution to make sure it doesn't happen, just as is done in the federal level....just only in the state.


Yes, i'm aware ... thats exactly why I think we need it! As much as northern va pays in taxes, we should not need additional funds to pay for roads. Its outrageous. The rest of the state is sticking it to us because they can - mocking us as liberals but keeping their hand out to take our taxes for their towns.

I dont think a southern VA would be totally sunk. They still have the Richmond suburbs and tidewater. Milk those two for all they're worth and see how well others like it.


I'm a conservative and I still hate how my tax payer dollars aren't enough to give me roads without tolls and to fix up current roads. We all pay a lot here and our infrastructure is crumbling.

RoVa is poor. All these troll are a result of the republicans and the we do not want to pay any tax. Everything cost mo ey why not charge the people who use it?
