International travel. We did a trip every other year before kids. Hopefully we can take them abroad someday.
I’d say time to work out as well. Usually by the time they’re in bed I have low motivation and need to gear up for the next day. Not an early morning person plus toddler has been waking at 6am lately anyway!

Eating out. Travel. Gym memberships.
Living a life full of adventure: crazy backpacking trips,, dropping everything to live on a ranch in Montana, climbing.
It’s cool though - I like my life, and now with my youngest in elementary, I’m starting to regain parts of my past life and bring kids along on at least minor adventures.

You could afford to buy a house just not the one you'd like in the area you want. 4 kids in private is a huge cost so I don't even get how this is something you gave up.

I gave up free time, which to me is more valuable than my toys! And I love my toys.
Young children are a ton of work. Would you outsource the childcare or pet care? Or both?

I gave up homeownership in order to keep my 4 kids in private school
