I know. Totally psyched that my kid is on the Bridgewater Equestrian team. Totally worth it. Not.

Yes. Attaining Eagle scout requires 5-8 years of progressive leadership and skill building experience. Participating in a sport is a fine EC.

Actually being an Eagle scout is very well regarded, probably more so than most sports.

Very, very few kids stick with scouts long enough to earn Eagle, and the requirements are extensive and rigorous.

There is a lot of discipline to becoming an Eagle.

OP. The school probably has a brag sheet for the kid to fill out so that the advisor has an easier time. This is where you talk about the activity.

Ton so of kids have their activity outside of school.

Funny, I don't think of water polo as obscure at all. Very common HS sport in the west.
