Yeah we recently contacted them looking for a spot for my infant when our original daycare went through, and they weren't even taking names for the waitlist anymore, that's how long it was!
I heard a rumor that MCCA Kensington-Forest Glen was going to open an infant room (and eliminate the after school program?). Does anyone have any intel on his? Wondering how they plan to fill the spots.....
Yes, MCCA-KFG is eliminating the school-aged classroom (it's consistently under-enrolled, from what I understand, because most kids got to before/aftercare at the elementary schools) and adding an 18-to-24 month classroom. So--not infants, but younger than any of their current classrooms, which start at age 2. The director didn't say when this would happen. They will not be doing Summer Adventures this summer (the school-age day camp program) so my guess is maybe they'll start the new classroom over the summer?
My DD is on the waitlist for the 18-24 month class and I believe they said it will open in June.
NP- Interesting. I don't see anything about this on their website. We are on the waitlist for the 2yo program and they didn't say anything about this to us when we toured and got on the waitlist. Do you know if it's a separate waitlist for the 18-24 month program? I'll have to contact them. Guessing it will mostly be filled by siblings of current families anyway.

So not terribly helpful for the OP.....
I agree you may not be able to get both kids in somewhere together right away. If you can get the 2yo into a center like Karasik, Circle Time,or Bright Horizons you will get prioity for the infant. You could do a nanny share in the meantime. In home daycares are another option but even then the good ones do not typically have a lot of openings.
