Residence inns take pets. There are several in NYC.

You'll need an Airbnb. We take our dog and stay in the Hudson suite at Ink48 in Hell's Kitchen. Dog park down the street, great neighborhood, easy to get Lyft or Uber anywhere, large suites with large bathroom. You could get two of them. King bed in bedroom and queen pull out in living room. You could get adjoining rooms.

Probably because of the cost

And to the PP that asked why bring the dog -- why not? He loves to go new places, it's good mental stimulation for him, he likes to be around us, the kids like to be around him. and NY is a very dog-friendly town. Also, he's not really huge, but a lot of hotels have 25 lb or 50 lb limits -- he definitely wouldn't make a 25 lb limit, and I don't want to risk it with the 50 lb limit. I wouldn't take him some place he wasn't welcome, but that was the whole point of asking for hotels that do welcome not-small dogs.

You're anthropomorphizing your dog. Don't do that. It's a dog. Leave it at home.

Dogs have feelings just like people do. Our dogs absolutely love it when we take them with us on vacation. They get sad when their "pack" has to leave them behind at home.

I hope you find a dog friendly hotel, Op!

I am a dog person OP and take we take our dogs lots of places with us. They love coming to the beach with us for example so we always stay in a dog friendly hotel there. I would not take my dogs to NY though. Its crowded everywhere for one thing, and what is fun for the dog to do there?

Is every room a pet room? Also, how does a chain like that keep fleas under control? Spraying the rooms?

Don’t most hotels that allow dogs require that the dog not be left alone in the room? It’s not like you can take the dog with you to museums or the theater. Unless you’re one of those jerks who claims that the dog is an emotional support animal.

Conrad takes dogs up to 75 pounds. Looks like they have some two br suites available but you have to call and request. The other thing we do at hotels is get adjoining rooms when suites aren’t available.

AIrbnb is illegal for the most part in NYC. Find a pet-friendly hotel.

We have a large dog, and ILs in NYC. He is definitely a part of our family, but we always board him when we go there.
