Then focus on parents of older kids -- not PK3. The parents of little ones aren't in desperate straits yet -- unless perhaps they are in Ward 7 or 8. And likely not on this message board.

Hey, sorry, new / bad at message boards! We’re 5 at garrison. In the 20ms for some of the hill spots but already writing those off.



My kid got into Garrison last year PK3 with a worse #. I think you'll get an offer. Sorry you got shut out. It totally sucks. You're not alone.

Or you could move to NW.

Lot of space in NW if you are willing to live in apartment for few years.

Unfortunately the Brent PK waitlisted usually only move 0-5 spots. Often they bump back (your number increases because so many families move to the neighborhood over the summer).

Check MD PARCC scores by school before you put down an offer. Plenty of schools there with fewer than half on grade level.
