I hyphenated to match my children, whom I chose to give his last name as we were not married when DC1 was born. I should have listened to my parents. The line ends with my father, unless we go through with the change. So, that plays a role too
DD wants my maiden name. A friends child used her maiden name and didn’t legally change it until age 18. It was like Robert goes by Bobby and Larlo Smith goes by Larlo Jones
