+1 I’m not disparaging pp’s Experience and joy in life, but that is not for everyone and that is absolutely not how I’d describe a soulmate. That sounds smothering to me, suffocatingly so.

Op, I’m guessing only >15% of married couples would say they married their soulmate. Of the 6 married people I know who have been open about their relationship with me, I’d say one might indicate they found their soulmate.

OP, I'm sorry you're unhappy in your marriage. That having been said, the notion that couples you see are ecstatically passionately breathlessly soul-matedly happy is ridiculous.

I dunno about that...I've never seen a community that acts like starting to TTC at 38/39 is normal ANYwhere but here. I think to some extent every woman who has kids has to have that in the back of her mind come her 30s, but it's not like this place is filled with 24 year old moms

Yeah I don't understand this either. Look around, half these women didn't even have kids until their late 30s
