After researching various services like this, I take things to local consignment shops, and donate what they don't want.

Sister had horrible experiences with Poshmark.

In order of least to best value received for the items I’ve sold:
- ThredUp
- Local thrift store
- eBay


I’d say that’s also the same order for worst-best finds as a buyer overall — ThredUp I didn’t see anything I liked, local thrift shop found a couple things here and there, and eBay I’ve found a fair amount of gently used or new without tags stuff, especially premium jeans.

Yeah I sent in a bunch of stuff over a year ago and have a $20 credit I still havent used. I bought a few maternity items on there while pregnant which were fine but otherwise I find the prices to be rather high for what you get. Whereas I’ve found some nice items for my toddler in Poshmark.

Poshmark definitely takes more work though. Of the 20+ items I’ve listed, I’ve sold 3. I’d like a nice middle ground!

I just got 170 for like 6 items from threadup, not luxe. Luxe goes to RealReal, where everything sells within a month for me.

Buy a scarf. I get all my silk scarves there.

Stay away from the jewelry though.
