Yep. My mom keeps fox news on 24/7. All night on her tv, and streaming on her phone when she’s not near a tv. My grandma sends me the constant forwarded emails, too. It’s maddening. I don’t engage with it, though. Delete the emails, roll my eyes when in person and change the subject.

I'm a moderate person and politically active for moderate candidates, so I pay attention to politics. I'm just scared that somehow I will change in old age because I keep seeing it among people I know. And most of my family is fox news obsessed. It's frightening. These old people have no grip on reality, yet they are the ones voting.
Not my relatives. They were always racist and conservative, but tended to be quiet about it. Now they are bring manipulated by Fox news and conspiracy websites.

My dad used to read books all the time. Now he surfs the computer (mostly Breitbart) and believes in conspiracy theories. We have a severely disabled family member. When then candidate Trump mocked a disabled reporter, I thought for sure that would be the end of their support. Nope.
We need to make a class in high school mandatory for all citizens, how to question ALL news sources, how to verify facts and stories, not to believe everything you read on the computer, what makes a reliable news source....
