No he was quiet. His screams got worse because the mother tried to change behavior. This kid obviously has serious delays. And people are being very cruel to him and his parents. Flying obviously stressed the heck out of him.

When a child has developmental delays and neurological issues to that degree, then preparations need to be made by consulting the family doctor, etc. OR not take the trip. Even if you think the passengers don't count, consider what the trip was like for the child. TRAUMATIC.

Yes, it is clear. The mom was desperately trying to get the wifi on their iPad to work b/c she had planned to distract him. You can hear the stewardess tell her that the wifi wasn't functioning yet.

No one was being cruel. He was allowed to scream, climb, and run for the entire 8 hours.

My oldest has special needs and I am thankful they are not of the behavioral variety, because people are VICIOUS.

And I agree with the poster below. We go to Europe often and I would rather suffer through the flight rather than deal with deplaning!!!

I didn’t watch the video but I feel sorry for the parents and all of the passengers. It sounds like this child had some issues and everyone had a miserable time.

When DS was a toddler he screamed for 5 hours straight on an entire flight. We couldn’t do anything to calm him and we tried everything including walking him up and down the isle, having him play with the lights and window, junk food treats, videos, books, toys, etc. It was horrible. We found out after we got home he had an ear infection and we didn’t know. DS is now a teen and every time we fly he quietly complains to me about loud or misbehaving children. I remind him of that flight. I don’t think he was a safety concern but he surely annoyed everyone for the entire flight.

According to the passengers this happened the entire 8 hours. They weren't over ocean the entire time.

I did a trans-continental flight with a child who was school aged and an unaccompanied minor who had an ear infection and who literally screamed the entire flight because of an ear infection. I felt so bad for him.

He should have been tranquilized.
