I lost 12 in the first three weeks of Whole30. You have to be careful about what foods you choose (easy to overdo it on nuts, avocados and eggs). But I haven't been hungry at all. I also gave up caffeine and I started an exercise program and a healthy sleep program.

I disagree. If you really go intense on the diet and exercise, the beginning when you go from sedentary to balls to the wall exerciser plus clean eater/starver is exactly when you will drop weight the quickest. When you get to the point that you can no longer sustain that mentally and/or your body and metabolism adjust, that's when it gets really hard.
But then again, I'm not talking about a "magical" way to drop the weight.
OP, just keep in mind that however you do it, it's not going to be a weight loss that is sustainable and you will probably gain it back quickly. Which may be ok for you and worth it for this event. Just go in aware.
Not neccasarily. If op loses the weight early, but doesn't go nuts on vacation (I know), she could maintain the loss.
