If this doesn’t work, we will try on our own for another year before calling it quits.
Thanks for sharing... mind me asking how did you + partner decide on this course of action? (IVF-- one cycle and then on your own before calling it quits)

I will be honest and admit that we wouldn't have pursued it if we didn't have extra embryos that we just didn't have the heart to destroy. We also are very fortunate that we had a bunch of extras, and that insurance paid for everything including PGS. Otherwise, I would consider myself lucky at 44 with two healthy young children. But the embryos were there so here I am gestating the third.
What is the age difference between your kids? We have one kid from an ivf and a second that was a spontaneous pregnancy. We have one frostie left from our first failed ivf that I'm really not sure which way to go on.
When the 3rd is born, DS will be 7 (almost 8) and DD will be 3. I'm 44.
Thanks for sharing this information. I just turned 40 and have a soon to be 4 year old and a 14 month old. Our frostie is from when I was 35 and was the 3rd embryo from our first IVF that was good quality. We transferred the best two and neither took and froze this one. I kind of feel that this one would take for some strange reason (best out of three type of situation). Our firstborn came from IVF #2 and our second was spontaneous. I can't imagine being pregnant again anytime soon so figure if we were to give this little one a chance I'd be looking at your age spread and I'd be 42. Let us know how it all goes once you deliver.
How come you did another IVF instead of transferring the frozen one first? Curious since I am in the same situation... one frostie left.
