No, DH is away in Australia right now and I have no clue what part or what hotel or anything. We chat every day twice a day very briefly, mostly good morning, good night.

He travels once/month and I never even thought about asking. I feel connected by phone/text.

You do know that if you are in wifi you can use text, email and facetime audio/video from your phone without needing international cell service right? I don't always turn on international roaming because I can often get by with just wifi access. While I don't feel the need to tell my DH everything I am doing when he or I are traveling, I would let him know if I was hospitalized.

He's often in countries with no wifi. Or Asia where the time difference is so great that he can't get me when I'm not working and he's in his hotel. He obviously made sure to text daily when I was super pregnant in case of emergency.

My DH's travel plans are cced to me when he receives a booking confirmation. That way I always have them in case I need them. I rarely look, however.

Nope. DH left for three days today and I thought he was going to a different city...I said “have fun in City 1!” He laughed and said he is actually going to City 2. I don’t feel the need to know details. He will FaceTime us once a day from some hotel room or another.

DH and I print out the itinerary from the travel agent or expedia. Leave it on the dining room table.

I'm mostly concerned with when he is leaving and arriving. But I'm also worried that if I hear about a plane crash or hotel fire, that I have that info so I don't worry myself to death.

DW here. I have an assistant who prepares an itinerary so since it is easy, I usually send it. He usually doesn't but always lets me know if I ask. But as another poster said with email, phone, etc I don't really need to know these things. And I do have many of his passwords so I could get things in an emergency, and most of his travel involves events which have web pages and I could look up people to help me locate him in an emergency. so honestly it would just be a lot of time to have him dig out all these things.

We have a joint calendar where we both post times which are critical for child care, etc.

I have access to his calendar and he sometimes sends me the flight confirmation email. Usually not the hotel info, but he has a cell phone, why would I need it? Also, I can always use Find My Friends to see where he is -- handy when I needed to find the closest store selling the stuff I wanted him to bring back for me!

DH travels to the same city every other week so no, though I ask which hotel he's staying in (usually teh same one but not always).

When I travel, it depends. If I'm going to europe, asia, I provide a general itinerary. But a 2 day trip to Milwaukee, usually not though if I remember I will forward him my flights.

My mom, on the other hand, asked for my travel information for years till I finally told her that she didn't need to know it.

I (DW) travel every week or two, usually for a day or two. I don’t send itineraries, just tell him what city I’m going to and when I’m coming home. I usually text when I’m leaving a city as a reminder, and let him know if there are any delays. He travels pretty infrequently but follows the same approach.

We used to exchange more info ahead of time. But cell phones, texting, internet access to flights, etc., I'm not very concerned.

But, we text and talk at least twice a day. Sometimes three, morning, dinner, bedtime.
