I normally dislike most of the dcum names but I love Juliet

I hate it. I've hated that name since I was a little girl. And that's WITH being friends with a girl named Juliet.

Great name, prefer shorter spelling, disagree with PP about pronunciation.

My 3 year old is Juliette. French spelling. I feel that the Shakespeare spelling emphasizes the JU syllable - JUUU-liet. Whereas my spelling emphasizes the ETTE. Julie-ETTE. That's the main difference. I do NOT say "Ette-UH" like French.

I love the name! Have only met 1 other, and she's 6, and spelled Juliet. People comment all the time they love the name. It's feminine and not trendy or too common.

I like it, but don’t think that it is too literary. Romeo and Juliet has to be Shakespeare’s best-known Work. So it is not going to impress anyone who is truly into literature.

It's beautiful! I knew one in high school and always thought it was strange though and too Shakespeare (15 years ago). Now that I'm grown I love it and it's my top girl name.

I love Juliet! The prettiest girl in my high school class was Juliet - a sweet, natural hippie type.

I like the spelling of Juliet better than with the extra "te" unless you have a very French last name.

I know a few young girls with the name Juliet/Juliette. Responding to another poster, I would never think that Juliette is pronounced Juliet-uh.
