They also have a shaving place in Montgomery Mall that could help him learn the basics. He might be more receptive to advice from them as well. Don't worry too much. He'll learn how eventually!

Disagree on shaving down. Shave against the grain, it lifts and pulls the hair resulting in a closer shave and les chance of ingrowns.

You are an idiot and your suggestion is dangerous.

Shaving against the grain will result in blood. I am a adult male with aggressive facial hair.

This is what Gillette says about it:
Shave both with and against the Grain

So, with or against the grain? The answer is both. Facial hair grows in many directions so you’ll shave both with and against the grain at different times in your routine. Shave in the direction that feels most comfortable.

Ask his father. If money is not issue take him to Art of the Shave in Tyson’s mall. The will give him a barber shave and sell him the best products.

If money is a issue buy him a can of shaving cream and a $5 multi blade disposal razor. Wet face lather up and gently glide razor downward on face. Have you ever shaved any part of your body?

Wow, you're terrible.

My son is 13 and uses an electric razor. They're fool-proof.

Shaving down - with the grain - helped me eliminate 95% of the bumps and ingrown hairs I used t get from shaving. This is something I could have learned as a teen but did not.

This.

Then follow up with a spritz of rubbing alcohol after you're finished. Yes, it will sting and burn like crazy for a few seconds. It will also greatly reduce skin bacteria and acne. Yes, it will sting and burn. No one said being a man was painless.
