We just had our third. We're getting by for now with a sedan and a Pilot, but I think I will replace my sedan with a minivan soon.

We have one as well (our second), and it has served us well, but I can't imagine giving it a superlative.

Well, maybe "most practical choice." (We have three kids and a dog and travel to northerly, snowy places to visit family.)

While we don't have a mini van (just 2 kids), we did check some out before buying our 2nd car (SUV with optional 3rd row seating). You should do that too before deciding you don't want one.

I was completely blown away with how nice the Odyssey was. Granted the price definitely reflected the one the dealer showed us, but if I needed to cart 3 around, I'd probably try to convince DH to buy one.

Schlepping kids around with all their school and sports gear and having to buckle everyone in/out seems so much easier with the mini van. Also, the doors are easier than traditional with all the tight parking around here. That said, I did notice they don't seem as great on snow, but you can't have everything. And this area seems to cancel school a lot if there is ice or heavy snow.

Honda Odyssey with 3 DCs. We live in Fairfax, but the primary reason why we got a minivan was for out-of-town family. If we want to go somewhere, then there's space for my ILs or my parents to ride with us rather than taking two cars.

Tesla Model X, live in fairly close-in MoCo suburbs. Right now we have all three across in the second row, but we've also put a kid or two in the third row (which has two seats). It's easily accessible. We feel very comfortable on road trips, Costco runs, etc. I also once went on a day trip with a friend and her two kids, and all seven of us fit just fine!

OP here, we have been thinking about the WV Atlas, so you wouldn't recommend it? one factor is my 2 other kids are under 3 and can't climb ob their own.

How are people getting their kids into the back row of these other 3 row SUVs? Do you have to move back the one chair every time?

BMW x5 with third row. we have three kids and about to have a fourth. and not getting another car anytime soon! so it will be cozy!

we live in CT and everyone here with 3 kids has a suburban or tahoe or escalade etc...

I honestly love my smaller SUV because I can park it easily and zip around. I know at some point though we will need more room.

That's why they don't have a van.

I have the Pilot and the Odyssey. We live in the suburbs. The Pilot is not a good car for three kids.

OP here, can people also state where they live (when you state the car you drive), I wonder if the vehicle you drive also depends on where you live? like people in the surb will be more confortable with a Van.
