Uh, Grover has nothing to do with this.

I didn't much care for Reagan, but this is a gracious thing to do and not unprecedented. After all, there's the Lady Bird Johnson Grove and the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden.
STOP MAKING SENSE!!!!!!!
PP isn't making sense, so he/she doesn't need to stop anything. Neither the Jackie Kennedy Garden (at the White House) nor the Lady Bird Johnson Grove of those names were objected to by the occupants of the areas surrounding. But if you think out-of-state Congresspeople should have the right to go into a community and rename a park anything they want, well, I hope they do it in your community too. Republicans are all for local control, until they find something they want to control.
The land in question is federally-owned. That's Congress' jurisdiction.
I look forward to your support for renaming Fort Bragg, Fort AP Hill, Camp Beauregard and all the other army bases named for traitors to the US, regardless of what the local population thinks.

Lady Bird named the Rose Garden on White House grounds after Jackie in 1965. First Lady to First Lady. Perhaps Melania Trump can suggest an appropriate landmark on the East Coast.
Better yet, why not rename the Trump International Hotel -- which is owned by the American people BTW -- to Nancy Reagan-worthy Luxury White House Guest House. It's right next to the Reagan Building. That would be nice to honor them together, no?
This is a great idea!
BTW Beyer's point is that out of town Congresscritters shouldn't go around renaming everything in sight after Reagans without any local involvement.

It's fascinating how the party of fiscal conservatism finds such creative ways to waste taxpayer dollars.
