Thanks for sharing this detailed review.

Really sick of baby bargains and their condescending tone. For the record, I am anti-cosleeping and would never buy a dockatot

What's so condescending about it?

But it’s made in Sweden so must be safe.

If you want your baby in your room, I can’t recommend the Arms Reach CoSleeper enough. Dockatot is not safe.

No. I'm just getting a crib, like I did for my first (he still uses his, otherwise I'd use the same one again). I don't want more stuff than necessary and I know they'll both simultaneously be in cribs for a year or more, so I need a new crib anyway.

Seriously. If you’ve never actually held one you can’t arbitrarily claim that breathability isn’t a thing. Also, we used it when I felt confident my daughter had the ability to turn her head if needed. Not sure how I’d feel with a newborn...it seems kinda big to be cozy for a newborn...but it worked for us from 6-9 months to get through sleep issues. (We used the deluxe meant for 0-8m).

there's absolutely no evidence that it is "breathable." It's also not about literally being suffocated; it's rebreathing CO2 when the baby's face is covered, as well as the baby being malpositioned and suffocating that way. Use your brain.

No, it's just another hunk of baby junk to accumulate.

Swaddled in a Boppy Lounger is NOT safe.

Safe = firm FLAT surface.

LOL. Thank you so much! I didn't think to try a firm flat surface!

Well, then you're choosing unsafe sleep positions. It seems like you're going by what "feels" safe instead of what the research actually indicates.
