That is the problem. FCPS will close to 3 days while the surrounding counties will be closed for 1 day.

I don't see temps going above 32 until 11am Thurs, and i live in a warm part of Fairfax County. They'll call it off Thursday to let it melt.

We have an outdoor field trip scheduled (we did not get input on the dates) for Thursday (APS). Hope it doesn't get canceled!

I'm pretty sure FCPS will be closed on Wednesday and most likely the next day if there is any snow on the group. It's the days on end of closures that is tough with FCPS.

I’m worried they will cancel school tomorrow in anticipation of snow.

You know the rule, if one kid doesn’t have a coat then no kid shall get an education.

I wonder if after school activities will be cancelled Tuesday evening (we're in FCPS).

Who issued the special weather statement? Are you thinking closure or early closure Tuesday because of the temperatures. It will stick or just wondering about Wednesday.

If Fcps cancels evening activities on Tuesday. Does that include PTA meetings? Sounds silly but I thought buildings were closed today but my kids club is at school meeting.

A “Special Weather Statement” has been issued. If it turns to an advisory I think closure will be a lock.

this x 100. if we get even a half inch of snow overnight, with a high in the 20's- we'll be done!

Yup, they will absolutely close if anything falls.

It's too cold. The chemicals only work in a certain temperature range.

Wow!

You beat me.

My kid got sick last week so he has attended a total of 3 days of school since they released December 15.

I tied you. My kids are in a preschool that follows fcps weather policy
