which beaches did you go? were there any beach beds and restaurants?
Golden Beach was our go to with a long sand beach and plenty of umbrella/chaise rental options. 3 or 4 good restaurants for lunch or you can get snacks/drinks delivered to your umbrella (we really liked the restaurant at the Golden Beach Hotel.) The water is shallow and the 2-year old could go in without floaties but there are also tons of windsurfers and other activities for the older crowd. My 6-year old was able to practice snorkeling, though there wasn't much to actually see here.
Other beaches we went to in the area were Faragas (a little more upscale with a great bar and restaurant, but you need to get there early/call ahead to reseve a spot or bring your own umbrella) and Lolantonis, which had an ok beach/decent restaurant (loud club music).
There were other beaches we went to that were a little farther away. But keep in mind you can drive the whole island in about 30 minutes, so nothing is too far.
