I guess because the blue car looks more attractive and comfortable for us. It's a newer generation.
The color sounds really pretty.
I personally wouldn’t purchase a used Hyundai for that amount, but it seems you are just very satisfied w/Hyundais.
I think loyalty to brands is very wise.
Hopefully you will not be disappointed.![]()
Op here: The price is 6k now and they're willing to come down in price if the Hyundai dealership says it needs repairs. My husband wants to go with this one. He's feels a bit uncomfortable buying the 2009 since it came from an auction. He also wonders if anyone tapered with the mileage.

They typically do not hold their value very well.
But if those are your only options, I would definitely go w/the 2009 Sonata due to the lower mileage.
But only if the dealership will let me get it checked out first by an independent mechanic.
If they do not, then the car is a no go.
I would never pay 7Gs for a used car w/over 100,xxx + miles on it.
Have you considered some better options?
Something more reliable that will hold its value better?
A Honda or a Toyota would be a much wiser move for your money.
Hope this helps & Good luck!
