+1
Keto works ok if you want to drop a fast 5lbs-10lbs before a reunion or something. It is not a permanent or healthy weightloss solution, and people overwhelmingly gain the weight back, plus more, soon after resuming a more balanced diet.

It is NOT a high protein diet, I often have to be careful because it is easy to eat too much proteins. I LOVE how I feel. I don’t mind the food at all, I just add the fats I was used to skipping and everything tastes so much better. I just ate sea bass on spinach. I eat most of my carbs through veggies, so I eat quite a few, especially greens that have low carbs. Wow, mayo in my tuna salad! Lox wirh capers and cream cheese! I don’t miss the carbs. I start exercising this weekend so I hope the weighty starts coming to come off. I have 60 lbs to lose and.
FYI you did not lose 7 pounds the first week. You lost 6lbs water bloat, and perhaps 1lb of fat loss.
Keto/Atkins is not sustainable for large weight loss.

Short term weight loss. If you go right back to a Hugh carb diet, of course you'll gain the weight back.
It's sustainable for people with metabolic disorders if you know and remember that carbs are poison for you. Carbs are not an essential
Macronutrient. You can run on protein and fat for the rest of your life.
I've reversed my prediabetes and I'm
Working on reversing my insulin resistance this way. My mom died relatively young from dementia caused by type 2 diabetes which was caused by her carb and sugar addiction. I'm not gonna go there!.

People can address prediabetes/diabetes using either a high carb low fat diet or a low carb high fat diet. Or by a low calorie diet. There are many ways to address prediabetes/diabetes, keto is not the only or best way.
Congratulations on your success.
