As a female with (by definition) a constant flow of sexual options, how much sympathy do you expect for choosing a year of celibacy?

I'm single, female and I did not have sex at all during 2017. This has been the longest stretch in my entire life.

Watch out for the surprise visits Home

Well not only dead bedrooms, but those on life support brought back from the edge.

These people who have "been together for 9 years..." There is NO comparison to the dynamic between a legally married couple that has the daily pressures of children(perhaps) and or extended family expectation bearing down on their physical intimacy. I'd like to hear from the dead bedroom married people to hear about their progress.

Uhhh. I think OP meant to hear responses from people in previously dead bedrooms in married couples since that's the most difficult structure for maintaining a sexual relationship. If you were ever recently doing it even once or twice a week, your 3X a week means your response is not relevant here.

GF/BF=/=married couple's struggle for intimacy--btdt.

I can either applaud you or call you out for BS.

What makes you want to call BS?

I had my period the first 4 days of the year, but 2 times since then.
2x/week is the goal for this year.

We did it on the 29th and the 31st. Haven't yet this year, but I was under the weather for a few days.

No. There was one awful attempt around New Years that couldn’t have been good for either of us. I used to lament the infrequency. I’ve come to the realization that given the predictability and poor quality, Im not as interested as I used to be in increasing the frequency.

Three times so far and I like the pace. This is our first year being empty nesters and since September it's been at least twice a week, sometimes more. If my college age kids knew what went on in the kitchen or on the family room couch they'd be grossed out.
