Yes. Expect letter in mail. If not by Wednesday then contact AART.

The grade 2 Screening Pool has been set for Spring 2018 screening. The grade 2 Screening Pool will include students scoring a 132 composite score on the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) and/or a 132 on the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT). Parents/guardians of pool qualifying students will be notified by the student's school.
I am hoping we get the CoGAT results by tomorrow, it will factor in to whether or not we include the WISC in the referral (I would prefer not to include it TBH), I understand why they hold off on releasing the scores, but honestly, I think it should be more standardized through out the county. I find it ridiculous that some schools released letters and results before the break, some haven't released anything at all as of yet (no in pool results or results at all), some schools send them by mail and some send them home via folder.
For a system that makes such a large deal out of these tests and results, it just seems silly not to have a more standardized system of release for the scores and I am surprised it hasn't been brought up (or a demand hasn't been made). I guess that most people just get through the process and then are ready to move on.

Anonymous wrote:Received CogAt score today, zip 22015. Ughh, not in pool by a long shot. NNAT was not good either. I am planning to parent refer because I believe AAP is a good fit. Should I look into getting a WISC? I have no idea what GBRS scores have been in previous years but NNAT/CogAt are not going to cut itHas anyone waited and referred in a later grade?

Is it worth it to submit a WISC when the FSIQ is pretty close to the VQN, and when the subscores for the most part follow the same pattern as the V/Q/N scores?
I’d save WISC for appeal in unlikely event you need to appeal if composite is around 140.
